is a course designed to foster personal development and successful life skills to youth that have been directly or indirectly impacted by families of incarceration and/or drug abuse. These include but are not limited to kids living in foster care, single parent homes (normally absence of father) or with grandparents. PREVENT is aimed to help boys ages 11 – 15.
Some of the topics include respect for self and others, effective decision making, problem solving, taking responsibility, effective communication skills, team work, identity, purpose and more. We provide educational tours to college campuses and historic monuments to give them exposure early on to successful pathways and possibilities through education.
